We leave on Tuesday, and I’m starting to panic that I have forgotten something important. Now making lists of last minute things that need doing: wash the dog, clean the fridge, go to the post office, etc.
And of course, spending an entire morning typing out an itinerary and marking all the locations on a Google map for my mom. Yes, it really needed doing.

We only had one large suitcase, so a couple of weeks ago we went shopping for another one. I had decided I wanted a hard sided suitcase because, believe it or not, most of them are actually lighter weight than the soft sided ones. Most everyone has seen my new suitcase via the wonder of social media, but in case you haven’t:
This is SO NOT ME!!! But I find it hysterical, and when I came across it, I had to have it. In all fairness, we walked around the entire mall in Asheville looking at every single suitcase for sale before coming back for it. This is going to be a gas – you should have seen the looks I got just wheeling it out of the mall to the car!
And I think Greg had better brush up on his photography skills – he seems to have a knack for getting my ass in the picture, but not my face. I may have to put together a photoset – “An American Ass Goes to Europe”.
Works on several levels, don’t you think?
